Better Kids,
Better World
The 3 Pillars of PlanToys'
Sustainable Mission
With a strong desire to
cultivate a sustainable world, PlanToys intentionally
conducts business with careful consideration for the
environment, child safety and development. This mission is
implemented through our three pillars of business - also
known as our “Sustainable Way” - which includes Sustainable
Material, Sustainable Manufacturing and a Sustainable
Mind.
01
Sustainable
Material
We ensure the use of sustainable natural
resources and create minimum to zero waste throughout our production process.

Reclaimed Rubber Trees
We use rubber wood
that no longer produce latex. 3 years prior to
removing trees, farmers stop adding fertilizer to
ensure all wood is toxin free.

Chemical-Free and Kiln-Dried Process
To enhance the
durability of rubber wood, PlanToys uses a
chemical-free and kiln-drying process to eliminate
moisture content from the wood pieces.

PlanWood™
PlanWood is an
eco-friendly material that is a result of
grinding surplus sawdust from production and
using a thermal process to form the
shapes.

E-Zero Glue
PlanToys products
are free from toxins. We use a certified E-Zero
glue that is formaldehyde-free and absent of
harmful substances and chemicals.

Water-Based Dyes
PlanToys prohibits
the use of chemical dyes containing lead or
other heavy metals.

Plant-Based Ink
We always search for
the best eco-friendly materials for use in
production. Organic pigments not only benefit
our children but also the environment.

Chemical-Free and Kiln-Dried Process
Plant-based inks are
used for our printed materials. Plant-based ink
is biodegradable and much more planet-friendly
than standard ink.

100% Natural Rubber
Our rubber toys are
made using 100% natural rubber. They are
designed to withstand all weather conditions,
both outdoors and indoors.

Eco-Materials
Other materials like
fabric, recycled paper and rope, we ensure that
materials are chemical-free and safe for our
workers and children.

Solar Energy
PlanToys uses solar
energy to generate electricity at our PlanToys
Children’s Museum in order to reduce our carbon
footprint and environmental impact.

Biomass Energy
Nothing is wasted at
the PlanToys Factory; leftover wood pieces and
chips are used as fuel to produce heat energy
for the production process in the
factory.

Eco-Efficient Manufacturing
As a carbon neutral
company and in cooperation with Plan Group,
PlanToys implements a reforestation program each
year to encourage absorption of carbon dioxide
from production. Last year, we planted over
3,900 trees.

ISO 45001 & SA 8000
The ISO 45001
certification confirms our healthy work
environment – in terms of both safety and health
standards for office and factory employees.
PlanToys also received the SA 8000 certification
for employee quality of life after instilling a
program that mandates equal opportunity for all
employees.

ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
PlanToys received
the ISO 9001 certificate for world-class quality
of products and services and the ISO 14001
certificate for excellence in environmental
management.

ASTM & EN71
All PlanToys
products exceed international safety standards,
including ASTM (USA) and EN71 (Europe).
02
Sustainable
Manufacturing
We manufacture
children’s toys with love using eco-friendly processes in every single step of
production
03
Sustainable
Mind
We strive to give back to society and the
environment through special environmental and educational campaigns that help make the
world a better place for everyone.

PlanToys Children’s Museum
The PlanToys®
Children Museum displays the fascinating history
of toys all around the world. This includes a
variety of toys made from metal, plastic and
wood. Since its opening in 2000, the PlanToys®
Children’s Museum has seen over 110,000
visitors. Both children and adults gain hands-on
experience from playing with PlanToys while also
being educated about nature, society and the
environment.

Plan Loves Forests Program
Alongside other
members of the Plan Group, we host an annual
reforestation program, Plan Loves Forests, with
the goal of preserving and restoring watershed
forests while cultivating environmental
awareness and accountability. To date, we have
planted approximately 50,000 trees in Chaiyaphum
and have hopes of continuing this program for at
least another 10 years.

Children and Community Club
Started in Trang
Province, Thailand, the club encourages children
to participate in activities outside of the
classroom to gain hands-on experiences that are
beneficial to their learning and
development.

Sarnseang-Arun Foundation
Striving to nurture
environmentally-conscious minds, PlanToys
founded the Sarnsaeng-Arun Foundation to provide
children and families with a public library,
park and magazine that help build awareness
around sustainable living and planet-friendly
practices. This foundation also organizes a
variety of yearly activities using PlanToys’
annual profits.

Mom-Made Toys Project
In celebration of
PlanToys’ 30th anniversary, we established the
Mom-Made Toys Project as a way to give back to
society. In partnership with LOWE Thailand and
mothers of children with special needs, PlanToys
designed and produced a series of toys to help
enhance the development of children with
cerebral palsy, autism and visual
impairment.

Happy Organization
We believe that our
employees’ happiness is partially our
responsibility. After all, they are practically
family! Whether it is implementing the use of
chemical-free materials, practicing safer
manufacturing methods, offering support through
a credit union, creating more job opportunities
via a cooperative shop or encouraging employees
in their financial and mental wellness, we see
everything that we do internally as a chance to
build our employees up and add to the quality of
their lives.

PlanNeramit
PlanToys intends to
not only create educational and developmental
toys for children, but also to encourage little
ones to explore hands-on play activities. This
is why we established PlanNeramit, an
imaginative playhouse and children's theatre
where families can enjoy play-based learning
together – driven by the concept of "I play,
therefore I learn."
